OUR STORY

At My Cottage Kitchen, I blend my extensive culinary background with the joys and simplicity of life on a hobby farm. 

After a heart transplant in 2022 shifted my priorities, I embraced a more fulfilling lifestyle by focusing on what I truly enjoy - making delicious food from scratch, raising chickens and gardening on our 7 acres in Baldwin City, Kansas with my lovely wife, Susan.  Eventually this evolved into a love of sourdough. 

I invite you to experience the delightful flavors and wholesome goodness that come from our little slice of paradise.

In addition to 60 chickens, 3 geese, 3 ducks, 8 dogs and a cat, we have 6 grown children.  We have a shared loved for photography.  I do real estate photography when I'm not baking, we sell fine art prints on Etsy and also provide portrait photography on weekends.  We also have an online CBD business.  You might say we have a lot of interests but on the bright side we are never bored! We wouldn't have it any other way!
